Warranty Terms and Conditions
Product Warranty Information
Below you can find information on our Watson & Webb product warranty. Watson & Webb stands behind our products, and your satisfaction is our top priority.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
(1) LIMITED WARRANTY
All Watson & Webb products are manufactured, tested and inspected to strict engineering requirements and are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship.
THIS WARRANTY IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS:
(2) WARRANTY DURATION
Airbrush Machines
The standard warranty for Watson & Webb Airbrushes is 12 months from the date of purchase.
This may be extended as part of certain promotions or upgrades.
Edible Printers
The hardware for Watson & Webb edible printers is warranted for 12 months from the date of purchase.
This warranty covers the mechanical and electronic components of the printer unit but strictly excludes consumable items (see Section 5).
Extended Warranties
Extended warranties (beyond the standard 12 months) are only available on items registered online within 30 days of purchase. Registering after 30 days voids eligibility for an extended warranty.
(3) PARTS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY
Parts requiring replacement due to normal wear or maintenance are not covered under warranty.
This includes hoses, cords, gaskets, cleaning tools, spray nozzles, filters, seals, and similar items.
(4) WARRANTY EXCEPTIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
Watson & Webb equipment must be used with the electrical supply specified on the equipment nameplate. Damage caused by using an incorrect electrical supply is excluded.
(4a) Improper Use
Damage resulting from improper, negligent, or abusive use—including failure to follow maintenance schedules—is excluded from warranty coverage.
(4b) Repair
All warranted defects will be repaired at no additional cost, with the repaired item shipped back prepaid.
(5) MODIFIED HARDWARE & CONSUMABLES (EDIBLE PRINTERS)
5.1 Modified Hardware Notice: All printers sold by Watson & Webb Ltd are brand-new Canon units that have been repurposed for use with edible inks. Using edible ink is a modification of the manufacturer’s intended use. Consequently, the original manufacturer’s warranty is void. Your 12-month hardware warranty is provided solely by Watson & Webb Ltd.
5.2 Consumable Status: Printheads and ink cartridges are classified as consumable items. Because edible ink is a food product with different properties than standard ink, printheads can clog or fail if not maintained correctly. As such, printheads are excluded from the 12-month warranty once ink has been introduced.
(6) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Watson & Webb is not liable for incidental, special, punitive, indirect or consequential damages arising from any defect in the products supplied. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profit or damage to property.
(7) EDIBLE PRINTER SUPPORT & MAINTENANCE
7.1 Technical Support Window: Watson & Webb Ltd provides a 3-month technical support period to assist with the initial setup and troubleshooting of our specific edible ink system.
7.2 User Responsibility: It is the user’s responsibility to maintain the printer. Clogs, "Error B200" messages, or mechanical failures resulting from ink crystallisation or lack of use are considered maintenance issues rather than hardware defects and are not covered under warranty.
7.3 Firmware Updates: We strongly advise against updating the printer’s firmware. Any firmware update that results in the printer no longer recognising edible cartridges is the responsibility of the user and is not grounds for a return or refund.
(8) COMPRESSORS & NOZZLES
8.1 Compressors: Compressors must be kept away from the spraying flow. Colour being drawn into the compressor or leaking from the seams is not covered under warranty.
8.2 Nozzles: Airbrush nozzles require regular cleaning. When cleaning is the only issue, a £20 service charge applies to cover servicing and shipping costs. Nozzles are consumables and are not covered under warranty.
